A Word from the DCA Liaison Committee Chair
By Tracy Hudrlik

DCA Liaison Committee Chair, Tracy Hudrlik / MNHello fellow DCA’s! Welcome to the first edition of the DCA Liaison Committee’s newsletter, “The Liaison.” For our first edition, we have chosen to simply explain our vision for each section of the newsletter. We hope that after reading all about it, you will have many submissions for future issues. We intend to publish the newsletter quarterly and are looking forward to hearing from all of you regarding the various sections of the newsletter. As you will read, you can submit items directly to our committee members that are responsible for each section. The newsletter will be sent to all Commissioners and DCA’s. If you have additional compact staff that would like to receive the newsletter, please have them register at: http://eepurl.com/dEB2bb

Have you had a particularly difficult case that you were able to work through with another state? It seems that every day, we have a new situation that we haven’t dealt with before and we need to call on our colleagues for advice. If you have had a recent situation that you have successfully worked out with another state, please email the details to me, tracy.hudrlik@state.mn.us. We would all love to hear about it as others may be faced with a similar situation in the future.

The newsletter will also feature any upcoming event, such as audits, enhancements, rule changes, etc. to keep you all informed. If you have suggestions for additional information, please contact one of your regional committee reps. Our members are:
Tracy Hudrlik, MN DCA Liaison Committee Chair

+ We See You! +
By Margaret Thompson

We see you! with Margaret Thompson, Pennsylvania Probation DCAWANTED: News about people who deserve KUDOS
Do you work with someone you would like to recognize for their ongoing dedication, showing great leadership during a crisis, is a positive example for others, contributes to their community, etc.? We would like to shine a light on those who work in the trenches and give them some national recognition through this newsletter. This is different from a ‘Spirit Sighting’ which is usually submitted for an isolated incident where someone goes above and beyond. We want news about your office employee who is a wonderful hard worker or someone from your field who is always assisting in the training of new ICOTS users or the prosecutor who regularly assists your office in obtaining warrants or explaining the compact rules to the court. Those are the people we would like to showcase here. Please submit the name of the individual/s, their title or role and a brief story about what makes them outstanding to Margaret Thompson, mthompson@pa.gov.

We will be working to help State’s better utilize the reports available in the ICAOS Dashboards. This will include user management, creating email listings, overdue reports, and up to date compliance reports. We will try to showcase reports that can be beneficial, and also explain how to pull those reports into excel. If you have any suggestions or questions please contact DCA Matt Billinger, matthew.billinger@ks.gov.
