North Carolina flagNEW: North Carolina - Please restrict offender travel to North Carolina because of Hurricane Florence and the declared state of emergency.

SEPTEMBER
New Mexico flag+ New Mexico - September 12–16: Please restrict offender travel to the Mescalero area for the Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally.

Virginia flagNEW: Virginia - September 12–17: Due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Florence, please restrict travel to the coastal areas of Virginia until we can reassess on Monday, September 17. The Hampton Roads area from Cape Charles, VA to the Virginia-North Carolina border are under a Tropical Storm Watch. The area will see significant rainfall, storm surges and flooding beginning this evening through the weekend. Low lying areas in Zone A have been mandatorily evacuated. Check to see if an address is in an evacuation zone.

North Carolina flag + North Carolina - Due to Hurricane Florence and the current state of emergency, it is requested that states restrict offender travel to North Carolina until further notice.

South Carolina flag + South Carolina - Due to Hurricane Florence and the South Carolina state of emergency, the Interstate Compact Office is closed until further notice.

Tennessee flag + Tennessee - State Council minutes from the June 13 meeting, in which an electronic version of the ICAOS Bench Book was distributed to members, are now online. Discussion topics included:
  • Conducting 2 of the 4 quarterly meetings via a conference call
  • Difference between summons and subpoenas
  • Probable cause hearings
  • Risk and needs assessments
  • Commission review of sex offender rules
  • Loophole in TN law regarding sex offenders
Texas flag + Texas - Contact information for 9 members of the Interstate Compact Office, as well as the Victims’ Representative, is updated.
