Raquel Colón

Raquel Colón was appointed Deputy Compact Administrator and Commissioner in 2010. She also serves as the Coordinator of Inmates in US Prisons for Puerto Rico. Prior to this position, she was a Case Manager. On 2023 she was promoted to the position of Specialist in Rehabilitation Affairs. Every legal situation of PR’s probationers, parolees and inmates with another jurisdiction goes through this office, including transfer requests of inmates to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Ms. Colón graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a BA in Social Sciences and from the “Interamericana” University with a MA in Criminal Justice. She has worked for the Department of Corrections since January 20, 1995.
