Biography

Susan Penner has been the Adult Interstate Compact Specialist since 2020. She began her career with the Nebraska Judicial Branch in 2014 in the administrative office.


In May of 2026 Susan was appointed Deputy Compact Administrator for the Nebraska Interstate Compact Office. She works closely with probation districts across the state to support interstate compact processes, problem-solving, and communication. Susan values teamwork, relationship-building, and creating positive connections with staff and stakeholders. She is excited to continue supporting Nebraska’s compact operations and serving the field in her new role.


Susan serves on the Peer Support Leadership team for the Nebraska Judicial Branch and volunteers her time both at work and in the community.  In 2020 she received the Everyday Heroes award from the Nebraska Supreme Court.


Susan is a graduate of Peru State with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
