Dale Crook

Dale Crook serves as the Director of Innovation, Restorative Justice, and Administration for the Vermont Department of Corrections (VTDOC), bringing over 28 years of comprehensive experience to the role.

His career with the department began in 1997 as a Correctional Officer, evolving through specialized roles in community corrections and probation. Since 2008, Dale has held key leadership positions within the VTDOC Central Office, where he specialized in policy development and managed the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision (ICAOS). Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Director of Classification and the Director of Field Services.
Dale holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement from Champlain College and a Master of Science in Administration from St. Michael’s College.
