April Simmons

April Simmons is an Interstate Compact Specialist for the adult & juvenile compacts for probation and has been appointed Deputy Compact Administrator for the Adult Compact.  April manages state compliance, sex offender cases transferring out of state, and facilities reporting instructions for interstate adult supervised individuals. April has worked within the criminal justice system for over 17 years, including 10 years as a probation officer in Marion County, Indiana, before joining the Indiana Office of Court Services in 2018.  Ms. Simmons earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Ball State University and a master’s degree in public administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
