INSITE - Multi-Factor Authentication

Publication Date
Compact Office Staff Field Officers

With the launch of INSITE, all users will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to access the system. This added layer of security helps protect sensitive criminal justice data and aligns with federal CJIS Security Policy requirements.

MFA will introduce a simple additional step during login, requiring users to verify their identity using a one-time code.

To help ensure a smooth transition, agencies should begin preparing now by coordinating with IT staff, determining authentication methods, and confirming users will have reliable access to those methods at launch.
