Modernized Data - Smarter Searches

This week's INSITE update focuses on enhancements to Profile Records and Search functionality.

Updates include:

• Consistent terminology throughout profile records

• More complete demographic information and updated NCIC codes

• Contact information combined into a single tab for easier access

• Search results displayed directly below search criteria, making it easier to refine searches and find the right record

Together, these changes help users find information more quickly while supporting cleaner, more accurate data.

To help prepare for INSITE, the National Office has begun reviewing approximately 4,500 junk records within ICOTS that require cleanup. Rather than asking states to solely take on this cleanup effort, National Office staff will review and delete supervised individual profiles that do not contain any case information. This will help ensure accurate data transitions into INSITE while allowing states to focus on training and other in-state preparations ahead of launch. 

Note:  States are still required and expected to maintain compliance with removing junk containing case information in accordance with the ICOTS Privacy Policy.
