DCA Training Institute @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

A professional day dedicated to networking activities and interactive sessions designed to identify key rule-related issues, foster dynamic discussions, and collaboratively develop lasting solutions. The day will conclude with breakout groups for sharing viewpoints and strategies.

 

Commissioners Training @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm (For Commissioners)

This session highlights the pivotal role of Commissioners in shaping Compact policies and decisions, providing a comprehensive overview of their specific duties and responsibilities.

 

DCA Region Meetings @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm (For Deputy Compact Administrators)

 

Public Hearing @ 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm (Attendance optional)

A formal proceeding that allows interested parties, including the general public, to comment on the proposed rule amendment.

A day of informative sessions and collaboration as the Commission discusses the new language change rule package, compliance challenges, RNR principles, and DCA Institute outcomes. The day concludes with an afternoon session dedicated to refining rule recommendations through collaborative efforts.
A networking event to meet colleagues and build professional relationships.

General Session @ 8:30 pm - 5:00 pm

A day of reflection, progress, and empowerment, featuring a welcome address, committee reports, an inspiring session on Empowerment & Leadership, and rules vote that culminates with an awards presentation and officer elections.

Committee Selection

Every two years, committee membership rotates. If you would like to serve or continue serving on an ICAOS committee, please indicate your preference below.

 

The Executive Committee encourages all commissioners to join a committee and share their knowledge and expertise. Please note that not all requests will be honored, and committee chairs will make every effort to place you on the committee of your choice.

The committee monitors member state’s compliance with the terms of the Compact and the Commission’s rules. In addition, the committee identifies compliance risks and make appropriate recommendations for enforcement procedures.
The committee provides a mechanism for DCAs to communicate concerns or needs and act as a liaison to improve the communication and relationship between Commissioners and Deputy Compact Administrators.
The committee oversees budgetary process by preparing an annual budget for approval and monitor the Commission’s income and expenses throughout the year.
The committee administers the Commission’s rulemaking procedures and objectively reviews or develops rule change proposals as appropriate.
The committee oversees the use of technology resources to facilitate the Compact process. The committee makes recommendations that increase efficiency and support the Commission’s goals.
The committee creates and improves educational resources and training materials for member states and stakeholders to use. Enhances public safety by raising awareness and implementing consistent policies.
