The Commission is excited to announce a major milestone in the evolution of our information system. As part of the ongoing system re-write project, ICOTS will officially be renamed to:

INSITE

Interstate National System for Information, Tracking, and Enforcement

This change represents more than just a new name—it marks a bold new identity for a modernized platform that better aligns with the Commission’s mission and values.

Why INSITE?

The new name was carefully selected to:

• Reflect the Commission’s preferred terminology
• Clearly differentiate the system from the ICAOS website and training portal
• Be simple, memorable, and easy to communicate
• Avoid confusion with other online tools

Although INSITE will not become the system’s official name until the launch of the new platform, we will begin using the name for all system re-write project communications and training materials moving forward.

Project Update

Development is progressing well.

• Phase 1, which focused on documenting the system’s functional specifications, was completed in April.
• Phase 2, centered on designing a more intuitive, user-friendly interface, is currently nearing completion.
